Changing meals meeting night
Melissa...™s schedule has changed so that Tuesday at 7pm is do-able. Everyone else present indicates that 3rd Tuesday works best for them, so meals meeting night will remain the same.
[[Meals]] Worker Sign-up Process Check-in
Diana reports approx. 1/3 wanting regular shifts and 2/3 wanting variable shifts. Regular sign-ups have filled majority of 3 weeks available in December meaning many variables will need to sign up for 2 shifts in January or February. No complaints are noted. Sign up for January & February will be in December, and for March & April in February.
Diana will rotate out fo this role after this work season ending 4.30.06, and will want to work with her replacement in April to be prepared for the next work season. Tammy volunteers to take on the worker sign-up coordination, and will rotate out of steering rep job at that time.
Billing Check-in
Kathy reports everything is going well. Thanks to Adi for his recent tweaking of the online sign-up/billing program. Heather suggests moving a portion of the meals balance into the savings side of the account. Heather and Kathy will consult on the amount.
Survey
[[Committee]] had agreed to survey GO members 2-3 months into the on-line sign-up process. Since it is not feasible to program a feedback section into the sign-up program (makes things too slow), Heather will draft a survey and send it out to meals members for review and comment before next meeting.
Amy observed that the average meals attendance seems to be increasing with on-line sign up. Others note discovering options on the program like selecting email reminder that you...™ve signed up for a particular meal. We like that the advance email to cooks helps ensure meals are posted ahead of time. And again, a reminder to all cooks to post your meal at least 2 weeks ahead.
Feedback Box
There is no new feedback in the box. We want to remind everyone that we encourage and welcome feedback about the meals program in whatever form you like - written or verbal or email directly to cooks or to the committee, or anonymous in the box.
Wishlist for kitchen equipment (I am summarizing conclusion for each idea)
Amy notes that another food disposal in the big sink was not pursued as significant (expensive) electrical and plumbing work would be required. Ideas to help would be higher quality sink strainer for left side, and signage directing people to scrape food into sink side with disposal.
A different range top that would accommodate more big pots at a time would be too much money.
There is lots of support for the idea of more refridgerator space. Brainstorm ideas include: sell old fridge and put towards buying a new larger model; get a new fridge w/o a freezer and get a smaller chest freezer; keep what we have and buy a small fridge for dressings and picky eaters and coffee cream, etc...
Tammy will continue to research costs, measurements, and will get with [[Rod]] about a making a proposal within the deadline.
There is less support for creating more staples storage space at this time.
Paying for guests/prospective buyers meals
We would defer to Membership to revisit the current process where the cost of meals for visitors/prospective members is split between membership outreach line and seller(s).
Next meeting is 12/20 at 7pm in the CH Sitting room.
12/04 Addendum:
Tammy will convene the 12/20 [[Meals]] meeting as I will be out of town.
