Ch Dining Room

Present: Becky, Tom, Laura, Mel,

Laundry Room report: 2 people have signed up, room seems alittle cleaner. Mildew smell is less. Think part of the problem is the mop.

Bathroom has 2 coats, someone needs to do the trim. We still need to hang the new toilet paper holder.

Is the bike shed part of the CH cmttee responsibility? We're not sure, but we're gonna talk about. Laura wants to know when the doors are coming. Also, would like us to attach something in the shed so we can lock bikes inside it. Can someone from grounds clarify whose responsiblity the sheds are. The doors we know have to wait for the final C of O. But we could probably do the bike lock thing if we have the money for it. Monkey to Becky to look into our budget.

General discussion about cleaning in the common house. The kids room has been pretty bad this week. Mel is going to work on descriptions, speaking directly with the folks who have various cleaning tasks on how things are going, and what needs to be changed.

Becky needs to update the convener position description. Tom will look at the maintenance.

***GOAL FOR NEXT MTG, UPdate the wiki job descriptions and hours during the meeting. Plan for slightly longer mtg.***

We will make sweeping the front porch part of the CH job.

Mel would like to stay in the Cleaning coordinator role. Tom would like to stay in the maintenance role.

Maintenance Report. The tall part of the island is done. The shorter side is ready and waiting for the arrival of the marble, should be this week. Very sturdy. *update - the marble is here*. There is a special set of allen wrenches for the legs. Jeff has some, Tom has some, one will be taped to bottom.

Question about the garbage disposal backing up. Becky shared instructions from hobart about how to fix it.

Light in the hallway was fixed by Tom and Linda. Kids room is ready for the shelving. Becky will go buy this weekend. The guest bathroom faucet only shuts off when it is pushed down all the way. We would like membership to create a guest welcome sheet for that room which includes info on the faucet as well as other info about the CH.

Becky will make little sign for bathroom re faucet.

Tom will start a binder of maintenance issues.


Cleaning issue. Garbage in bathrooms should be emptied whenever it's full. They are overflowing inbetween regular cleaners. Mel will talk with cleaners about ideas for improving this.

For the remainder of the current work session, Helen will take on sweeping the porch as part of her kitchen deep cleaning role.
