---------------------------
Review washer/dryer

We have agreed to buy one set and wait to see what happens before buying another one.
[[Elph]] will put it on his visa and get reimbursed by CDC
It will live in Jim Sweeton's basement
Phoenix will install gas line - the CH budget will pay for this
It will act as compenation for Jim's having this service in his basement.

DISCUSSION
[[Jenny]] thinks we should also pay per use to off set Jim's expenses.
[[Rod]] thinks this will be a disincentive, Amy thinks a contirbution jar if you want to, [[Elph]] thinks not all, as it sets a bad cultural standard.
Melissa thinks an allowance for reimbersment, but the gas line should be enough.

SUMARRY
We will not put in a system to have indviduals to pay or donate, we will tell Jim to watch his bills, if they are sizable to come to use for payment.
Some concern over side yard access with weather - we need to watch it.
If people want to thank him in thier own way they sure can.
-----------------
Review budget

We submitted it, they had a minor question about the wording of the diswasher as "sanitizer".

DISCUSSION
R - how are we going to do the appliaces? Normally construction should cover this - so now how are we going to pay for it? Sitting room savings might go to kitchen?

E -we have 3 budgets to work with...so we will not know for a while.
There will be much shuffling within each budget as time goes on.
Hopefully we will be able to include the cost of the ch kitchen appliances in either the construction budget or the accoutrement budget, but we have it in the association budget as a fallback.
---------------------------

Review tables/chairs

E - We won't need to deal with it for 6-8 weeks minimum, so let's not get into this until we need to go further.
We have 2 models of chairs to ordered for samples, and the tables

-------------------------
Propose painting plan:

Each honcho for each room bring in paint swatch to CH mtg for the comment to ok by group.

We need to buy them and they tools early to have them ready, and buy in bulk, for a better deal and consistancy of quality.

GO can set up an accountt @ Sherwin Williams, give GO a 10% discount.
so all houses can use the discount, and they keep your details on file for future painting.

B - if you are painting a room with a dark color, use grey as your primer.
Buy low VOC's paints please.

To Paint the CH, will will have a small window of a few days to a week for painting CH, have the color choosen and paint bought, tools ready.

At what point are we painting? After appliances and trim and floors?
The drop cloths may not be as needed TBD.

Melissa - is worried about how we can get the painting done.
Wants to do on the work day.
Pick a room, and sign up, before it goes too far.

[[Rod]] - It can be a combination - work day and sign up for the room for painting. Once people have buy in to that room.

E - lets assume people all know they are painting and get the signup sheet in front of a community meeting and have everyone choose a room. Date to be determined. We will then shuffle slightly to spread them around and will also shuffle during the actual work days. But getting signed up will remind people and commit them.

-----------------------
Review CH drawing

The common house drawings from June are in and there is a large copy in the CDC office. The committee has three 11x17 copies of which [[Rod]] has one.
--------------
A learning note from Sunward

a multi year calendar for maintenance is being created, so that may help us too

-----------------------
applicances prices @ big george

E - nancy said the viking 6 burner kitchen range (identical to Sunward) is $1559 list price (we don't know what it is after our discount)

wall ovens, not many that are one offs, normally 2 stacked on top of each other, from $800 - $1,500 each 30" ovens. Comparable oven features. Now that we have model numbers from the drawings we can shop those.

R- we should take the part numbers we have, take them to BG and see if they can beat them. See if giving Nancy the numbers and if she can beat the deal, great. The Fridge is not spec'd. Is the hole too small? No, looks like 37" and 26" deep - that should work though wide are expensive. 35" seems to be the regular household width, but usually deeper.

B - Sunward has too much fridge space with two fridges.

We have spec'd out for the dishwasher as follows:
A dishwasher with at least the same functionality as a Hobart LXi with attached detergent/rinse-aid pump. Hobart LXiH preferred.

This dishwasher would wash, rinse, and sanitize (by way of 180 degree water). Detergent and rinse-aid should be pumped in by the machine, rather than hand added to reduce on user error, burning of human tissue, and destruction of flooring around dishwasher from stray detergent. Dishwasher should run with a speed cycle sufficient to handle 30 loads in an hour recognizing that manufacturer ratings are overly optimistic.

The use of a temperature based sanitizer cycle as opposed to a chlorine chemical sanitizer cycle will allow the washing of aluminum items. (And will reduce the use of chlorine - often identified as not ecologically friendly)
