MONKEY - [[Elph]] create spread sheet for pricing
Office Use Survey 2 - this will be e mailed soon.
Ask JD about line item for postal boxes, is it enough?
Ask JD - cost savings for parcel locker ? and we would like to have 6 more cubbies there instead
MONKEY - Amy -Get the catalog from Roberta of what Sunward uses
MONKEY - [[Rod]] - get price estimate from Matowi tile
Game Rooms
[[Elph]] did web search for baseline prices. Almost the same as what Sunward had quoted. Air hockey $500, darts $10, Pool Tables $600 - $3,000. Ping Pong Tables, just sits on top of Pool Table - removable - $400, or stand alone $460. Video games we can get into later - perhaps a locked cabinet that people of a certain age can unlock and set up in media room. We will have to work out process for that.
Becky - exercise - 25 responses GREAT! The universal weights & the elliptical trainer or tread mill - big interest in yoga mat or space to make that work. Once she gets prices, then check with community members for equipment then start a wait list with "play it again sports". There seems to really only be room for 2 machines, so perhaps the mat hangs up unless in use? There is a 2nd door...get prices with floor footprints. There is someone with a nice treadmill & another family with a universal machine to donate.
Mel - she found a deal for 72 sets of corel, $989 : Including, 1 qt serving bowl, & Platter, dish, bowl, cup, saucer, etc
per piece - this is white with fluted edge - bought 1.99 each for the place
If we did this @ 5 piece per setting for 72 = $716 + the serving elements $856 - Cheaper by the piece.
Flat ware for 72 for $600
10% discount for over $1000 buy
Can get other large dutch ovens etc for $43
Did not have enough glass ware - but Faberware might be an option.
Restaurant supply might be a good source - we might be able to get things at cost thru [[Elph]]'s connection at Zingermans.
Corell - thin, stacks well, durable, and warranty, discount thru outlet. good thought for the community ...have good size for family style. Made in America - in Corning NY
Check the web site for images...outlet is take what is here.
Amy - going to get office lease prices here in this neighborhood.
Also going to the Toledo location to look at dinning room tables and chair options with Mel on the morning of the 28th. Bringing a digital camera to bring the images back to the group to look at.
Sitting Room - [[Rod]] - talking about Motawi Tile using in the living room fireplace - they are not cheap. Others in Sunward have done this and paid for it. They will do custum (like a great oak tile) 50 at a time, or 100...Ken Winter's fireplace from them cost $3,000 at least...Laura & Pam seem to be very into this idea now. There may be some select places in the common house that accents it well. 4x4 relief tiles are $104 per sq foot - so the fire place would be at least $1,000. Could this be something we do after move in? To upgrade the tiles in the 2nd year ? fire place would be 16 square feet. They have sales, so that 2nds are less. Could leave it unfaced, then community members could "tile it" as a day project our selves. That might be the most cost efficient, they could take the time to choose the tiles they realy want.
DISCUSSION OF COMMON HOUSE COST FROM FRIDAY NIGHT CONT.:
The color concrete, may not even need to be addressed with the entire group, as we will have so many others the community needs to comment on.
$20-$40 per month per household would be the est. cost for $100,000 loan for the community - perhaps this needs to be said right away. 2 options in repaying the loan: a. use $750 from the office rentals b. $20 per household.
Back Decks (walk out units, 17 of them - $23k each) strong resistance from some to have this be a deduct option, and we are still getting info from JD about how the money works in the ...if this was a rebate on their houses instead - it would dissapear from the common house use too. Some have said they would rather have the $ and built their own Decks later. The construction co. do not think it that way - as they look at in terms of the total picture and they are looking at that money for the CH. If that $ is still there in the end of the job - can't CDC just give that back to the unit owners? CDC can not 'rebate' that because it is not really their's to pay the owners...Is this just an accounting issue? Could this be annalagous to the screen door idea of why we are not having Phoenix putting on them on, we would be doing our own. The owners doing it later, there is much more to deal with like permitting.
option 1. mini decks s are built as spec'd, money taken from contingency.
option 2. CDC credits $50k to CH - No decks are built
option 3. CDC gives back credit for 17 unit's decks - no decks s are built (code stoops will be provided for)
option 4. CDC builds a cool deck that the owner would pay for any additional cost above the credit
It must be established WHAT the code is, this issue can not be decided until that is known. Sunward ended up having to do that for walk outs...this needs to come from the. Monday am steering is going to check it out. CDC is checking with the township for the code status.
Looking at the loan being $150,000.
$1,500 would be the needed amount for the office rental to cover this element -
or $375 each office each month.
or
$30 per household
[[Meeting]] time discussion:
perhaps an hour earlier - soccer will be 11-12 here, and too early for Ted & [[Elph]]. It does help for other multi meetings, and the soccer parents will be here then already.
let's keep this meeting time for the next 4 weeks.
