Offices: Need copier, fax machine. Rod has this room. Sunward keeps getting given them. Maybe we can get one given to us by the gods.
Laundry: Looking for three washers and dryers with one being commercial.
Kids Room: Survey was sent out by Melisa and Alicia. Some responses (8 to 10) which helped but don't have a budget quite yet Doesn't seem to be a lot of conflict in terms of folks visions.
Monkey: Melisa - hardcopy of Kids Room survey to be presented at next meeting
Dining Room: Didn't go to the furniture place in Toledo because of snow. going in the future. Will be looking at other sources as well. Used furniture.
Baths: Make sure there is a changing table and towel dispensers etc.
Kitchen: Look to bid for how the appliances are handled, might make sense to buy appliances as part of same deal with units.
Monkey: Elph price networking equipment.
Monkey: Laundry find out how much space there is for machines and survey what people are planning to do with using the ch laundry in terms of how many machines to buy but take with a grain of salt Maybe do two sets of hi-efficiency ones and hold on the large industrial size machines until there is an obvious need.
Offices: Copier - visualize: Office quality machine or small puppy? Office quality (and size) but simple. Find out how much office space rents for around here by square foot. Adjust prices yearly with inflation. Leasing for rollover for perpetuity. Do we set prices so the office pays for itself? Over how long? So factors for pricing: Market rate, paying off the cost, pricing people out of the option...
Ideas for process for choosing: 1) Lottery and five year lease. 2) Survey everyone and see who is interested and if all needs can be met - sharing space 3) Some of option 2 and three year lease 4) If prices are equivalent then we can have overlap space with offices around us.
Questions to ask office users: What kind of equipment? What will you use the office for? Can you share and what are your usage times? How badly do you need an office? How much would you feel is fair to charge? How do you intend to furnish it?
Next meeting is Saturday 11am on the 19th. We will open the question as to another meeting time then. Melisa won't be there but would prefer keeping Sat 11am. Alicia can also work with that time when she is in town.
