Update on TS / GO CH sharing proposal
- Sarah is working on stitching together the three pieces that have been
presented to the community: Work / CH, Meals, Finance; a single proposal
reflecting revisions and feedback from the community will be presented at
the February 16, community meeting; hopefully we will reach consensus at
this meeting, if not there should be VERY CLEAR, SPECIFIC ISSUES that can be
resolved at the next mtg in March;
- Once GO consensus on our piece we will present the proposal to TS for
their consideration; if changes are made or suggested by TS, we will bring
them back to the apporpriate GO committee for consideration and if
appropriate / necessary to the community as a whole;
- sharing will commence!
Committee reports:
Grounds - question for Grounds about Truck billing...is it happening? What
is the current mileage rate? Is this going OK?
Answer - Rod has done this in the past, it hasn't been done for 2008
yet...might let it go this year since books are closed. Current rate is .50
cents a mile;
Finance - Kathy B. was passing by so we grabbed her and made her talk about
Finance!
- no rebate this year because of significant shortage in income to
households being in arrears; there are households that are only a month or
two behind and htere are households that are very behind;
- F&L, through Elph, is actively working with these households to problem
solve and get up to date; looks like things are headed in the right
direction;
- F&L is looking at this issue overall and how to respond when households
are significantly or consistently behind;
- the 2008 books are slammed shut! Go, Kathy!
Common House
- CH committee revised the children in CH policy; look for updates from
Becky in CH minutes;
- once CH broadcasts this policy and hears feedback they are empowered to
enact it! They expect to be ready for implementation after the next CH
meeting.
Buildings
- Fire suppression inspections complete! All is well; all wrenches were in
they're places, thanks, Neighbors!!
- Still need "No Parking"signs installed at both entrances per Fire
Marshall;
- Tri-State is cheaper and provides better service than the other guys;
- Tri-state recommends we install expansion valves which we will do in bldg
9 to try; they also recommend that everyone learn how to turn off the
sprinkler systems - this should also go in the New Member Handbook;
- Know boxes with keys to units containing fire suppression shut-offs need
to be put up soon; hopefully we can do this outside of our workday system;
- still need to caulk a few basement windows when weather warms up;
- handling damage to a coupl of the garage bldgs from being hit by the
truck...
Membership
- A $50 donation has been made to the Lesbian Mom Network from the outreach
line-item;
