2. Monkeys/Cooler/Freezer items from previous meetings:

MONKEY and COOLER: Process to ask minute takers to come to a process meeting
at the start of each work term to talk about the full minute taker job
description, and talk about the using names issue so they are aware of some
of nuances.

COOLER:
Discussion about how CRC members are chosen, is that working ok?

COOLER: Naming names in committee meeting minutes, periodically reread
current guidelines, make sure they're ok for both committees and plenary

Ongoing MONKEY: CRC should talk about the fact that they can't all to rotate
off at the same time. What are the current CRC members each thinking about
their terms, who is willing to continue? If everyone wants to continue for a
while that's great, its just that when folks do want to rotate off it needs
to be staggered.

DONE: Catherine will put out an email about Member Resources to talk about
the library: if anyone has come across a book or game that the think would
be of use to GOers and good to have in the Community library to let process
know, could be related to all kinds of topics (gardening, cooking, energy,
etc) not just process.

DONE: Catherine will check in with the two groups of folks who said they'd
be willing to work on the kids and the CH issues and bring it back to the
community.

Re-MONKEY: Jillian will check in with current BOA enterer about printing
out the agreements to put in the printer binder of BOA.

DONE: Jillian will check in with membership cmtee to see if the printout of
BOA agreements that's in the sitting room is still useful. It will never be
as up to date as the electronic version.

Re-MONKEY: Gail will email renters to make sure they know, that they are
encouraged to participate fully in meetings, that their voice counts as much
as anyone else's, there are very few decisions they can't be part of. (This
should be spelled out in the levels of membership agreement.)

ONGOING MONKEY: when there are new people send them an invite to come to
community meetings.

ONGOING MONKEY: Jillian will remind infoco that: Facilitators should (1)
send out agenda at least 2 days ahead and then a reminder on the day of the
meeting, and (2) consider putting a slip of paper in every mailbox about the
meeting as well, at least a day ahead. Just to see if it helps.

MONKEY: ? will check in with membership and see if they'd like to come to an
upcoming Process meeting, 2nd Tuesdays usually, 7-8pm, to talk about their
new member and potential new member procedures - what is the buddy job
description, what is covered about expectations around meetings.

Re-MONKEY: Jillian will draft a quorum pre-proposal for the next available
meeting.

DONE: Catherine will check with Susan Kennard to make sure 2nd Tuesdays
works for her, 7-8pm.

New MONKEYS this meeting 1/13/2009

MONKEY: Jillian will get with Elph about putting in the final Fall 2008 BOA
entries, and will show Jim G how to enter items in the BOA.

MONKEY: Gail will check in with Sarah and Adi and see where the online
resources idea is at.

MONKEY: Catherine will remind Jillian to put discussing the specific book
suggestions, and the purpose of the process line item for the library
resources, on the next process agenda.

MONKEY: Jillian will ask at the next infoco meeting if people have ideas
about how to start the training conversation at a GO meeting.

MONKEY: Maybe all think about this for our next meeting. How can we make the
thank-you board more active. Could we make a game out of it, or encourage
people.

3. Check in on this work season

Yesterday Jillian put a printout up on the work board with facils/minute
takers for Jan-April.

MONKEY: Jillian will follow up with Elph and Jim G about BOA stuff.

Any other work issues? Not that we know of so far.

4. Check in on Quorum Issue

Will the next community meeting be all the TS issue? Not sure.

Jillian still has a monkey from last time to write up the preproposal and
can present since she's not facilitating. Maybe there will be time for a 20
minute initial discussion. See last process meeting minutes for what we
decided to write up.

5. Online Community Process Resources

"Adi: I've created an account on LibraryThing for the community books:
http://www.librarything.com/catalog/gocoho
and Sarah wants to try to add books to it so she know some more details and
when we know what we're doing with it we'll create a wiki page with more
documentation."

Seems like a fine idea to us, although not everything in the library has a
barcode (eg, Catherine contributed some pamplets).

MONKEY: Gail will check in with Sarah and Adi and see where the online
resources idea is at.

There was a question about process buying games as well as books.

Maybe we could set a rough percentage for ourselves, that say we spend 50%
of the resources money on books or games that are process related, decision
making, conflict res, etc, and the rest can be whatever seems of use to
GOers.

Would be a nice idea to hand out a list of what we have. Let's wait to hear
first about the web site.

MONKEY: Catherine will remind Jillian to put discussing the specific book
suggestions, and the purpose of the process line item for the library
resources, on the next process agenda.

6. How to present training discussion item

Jillian came up with a list of all the trainings we have done. There is
confusion about what is training and what's not; no one answer.

We want to have the values-level discussion about training. Do we value
training, if so why do we value it, what is important about it, and are
there certain kinds of training that get at the heart of the purpose of
training for GO, or is it a very wide definition that works best for GOs
needs. Small group work? When we get agenda time we'll need to think about
how to do this.

MONKEY: Jillian will ask at the next infoco meeting if people have ideas
abot how to start the training conversation at a GO meeting.

7. Thank you board

How do we reinvigorate the thank you board? Its so important to say thank
you and I think the board is a good thing.

I think there was some (very light) vandalism before which discouraged some
people, but perhaps we're done with that now.

MONKEY: Maybe all think about this for our next meeting. How can we make the
thank-you board more active. Could we make a game out of it, or encourage
people.

8. Next meeting
Since Jillian will be away the 2nd tues in Feb, let's meet the first Tues,
that's 2/3, 7pm. And then March will be back to our usual, 2nd Tuesday which
is 3/10, 7pm.
