RE-MONKEY: Jillian to tap Mary AFTER the wedding for language to include
that lays out the steps a blocker needs to go through. She leaves for
Beaver Island for first week in May for back and forth this summer

Communicate the committee meeting dates, as well as some idea of the
agenda, to the community via ...talk... so that others can attend if they
wish to. Ideally these reminders are sent out at least two days ahead.

for validating a block

Feedback at 3/15/21 meeting. Minutes here.
The discussion was quite involved; no one had thought about it in over a
year.
People felt voting was weird, but were willing to consider since in Jan
2020 we put this into the Master Deed or Bylaws, that we would have a way
of validating a block.
If we actually got to this moment, would we want to wait until the next
meeting before the vote. Consider the advantages and disadvantages of
waiting for a month.
Electronic voting? Or secret ballot?
Review attendance at previous two meetings? Committee meeting - how
establish “good faith”
Mary - Suggested to move the background steps into the proposal
Dale - Tighten up the wording re: the vote b/c more legalistic
Katie - broader than moral, ethical or safety issues, asked about including
aesthetics, but this may be a murky example of personal preference vs
community values. Car ports seem fine to some of us.
Emails
Mac: The block may be a response to out of control consensus process - not
getting enough time for people to explore the proposal, etc. Maybe the key
feature of this is a way to call out people who aren’t acting in good
faith. The problem is how to define that…
