ONGOING MONKEY Patti bringing chocolate for the two community meetings a
month.
ONGOING MONKEY: facilitators - when there’s a new proposal, or discussion
of any new idea, ask for clarifying questions, then ask for positive
reflections about it, before they go into discussion of concerns.
ONGOING for a little while: Per request at the last meeting by new people,
facilitators to please bring out the meeting guidelines poster and actually
go over it at the start of meetings. They should please go over facilitator
guidelines too, even if we don’t have a poster. Should explain things like,
that facilitators are managing the stack and that they can adjust the order
to call on people as needed. (Could still write the stack down on a
whiteboard but the facil could choose to change the order.) (IDEA to maybe
look at hanging them up someplace in dining room? Have nails in place?)
ONGOING MONKEY: Schedule a few refreshing policy moments:
Blocking - Refreshing policy moment but also more discussion probably.
Parking (maybe 12/4/19)
Cleaning up after yourself in the CH / Expectations for teen and youth cmty
work, CH access, and supervision
Return of Agreement reconsideration agreement (see agenda item below, maybe
1/20/20 or 2/17/20)

Minutes must be emailed to their minutes email address for the BOA and to
talk.
Refreshing policy moment on empowered committees
ONGOING: Go over our community meeting guidelines
Re-MONKEY: process to modify our mandate template to add method of decision
making
✅ONGOING MONKEY: Willie and Yi-miau to work together on getting the
missing minutes back into the BOA, maybe one committee at a time, they will
work together.
✅Re-MONKEY: Yi-miau will mark the expired agreements as expired.
✅MONKEY: Patti will email Sarah for a 40 minute item for future agenda to
discuss stand asides and blocks.
✅Re-MONKEY: Jillian will work on draft of Agreement Reconsideration
Agreement to add more structure and will email to Process. And then will
email Sarah to ask for agenda time for 20 minute discussion decision.
COOLER: What if the Ambassador were tasked with presenting at a community
meeting each work season. AND/OR What if we had a “committee corner” at
each community meeting - two committees would be “on deck” for 5 minutes
each to share what they’re working on - does not have to be formal.
✅IN PROGRESS: Jillian to ask Mary and Sarah if they’d have any interest and
availability to do a process-related training in the fall. One idea - Stand
asides and blocks might be an interesting one - we have lots of new people
and have not discussed that in ages.
✅done MONKEY: Jillian to fill in Process pre assignments
✅doneMONKEY: Jillian to email budget numbers to Mary King
✅doneMONKEY: Yi-miau will let Process know which date is best for CRC to
meet with Process, 10/14 or 10/15.
✅doneMONKEY; Yi-miau will ask Anastasia and family about the two dates,
9/17 and 10/13 and about what kind of dessert might work.
✅doneMONKEY: Jillian will ask Bob about the two dates, 9/17 and 10/13
✅doneMONKEY: Next season, add a process member slot so we have three
members plus convenor, and reduce convenor hours. Same person can be
convenor and member.
✅doneMONKEY: yi-miau will look at the existing job description for BOA
content entry and see if it needs any additions. She will check in with Bob
M and Niecy.
✅doneMONKEY: Patti will be able to attend the work allocation meeting on
9/28. (Jillian will be in Spain).
MONKEY: Patti will remind Mary and Dale to provide the budget to Bob
Mariotti and Yi-miau in whatever form they usually provide it.
MONKEY: Process to remind Buildings to bring back the Revised Smoke
Detector Policy - it was discussed in May 2019, but it was the first
appearance of the revised proposal and it was never brought back for
consensus, it is not in the BOA. Mary has a link to the proposal in her own
drive, here.
MONKEY: Jillian sent a message to Sandra Greenstone just to float the idea
if she might be interested in any facilitation for the skills and thrills
1/11-1/12/20, will see what she says and if so will give her most details.

3.DEBRIEF Tri-community Facil Mtg on Sunday, 11/10/19
Was fine, but better to have folks from other communities. Next one is
1/26/20 at noon at GO.

4.DEBRIEF GO Consensus & Community Bldg training, 11/16/19
I thought the training went very well!
Me too.
MONKEY: Payment? Jillian submitted all receipts to Becky, will add up and
pay Mary and Sarah the rest, minus the $20 to Daniel.

5.GO Alt Mtg on 12/4/19: Communication and Conflict

Patti has slides for a presentation she’s given for the ICC, 60 minutes.
And if we have 5 minutes agenda review, 10 minutes for parking, 5 minutes
announcements, 5 minute eval, and the rest is the presentation.
