Minutes:

FREEZER PROBLEM
Eric talked with Elph and the freezer problems seems to be mostly taken
care of. It needs to be checked and defrosted periodically. Eric will talk
to Elph about the possibility of having a repair person come and take a
look. The freezer is a frost free one, and it should never need to be
defrosted.

MEALS GOALS
Meals goals were under head cook job description. We would like to have a
Mission Statement for the Meals Committee as a separate document. We
reviewed a draft from Gail. Catherine will add in the Meals section from
the Member Handbook to the draft. Everyone on Meals committee. Eric will
look at the mission statement for the next meeting. Catherine will look
over the mission statement for the next meeting.

MEALS SCHEDULING AVOIDS
Although it's not a scheduling problem, Willie notes that people are using
the “avoid” function more heavily. Eric will send an email reminding people
to use direct communication when possible, if there are issues with a
particular worker, or to ask the Meals Committee for assistance.

MEALS BILLING ELECTRONIC STREAMLINING
Eric talked with Kathy and learned that it’s not too difficult for the
meals billers to carry over the meals to the next month. We will want this
option for people who cook at the tail end of the month, but hope cooks in
general won’t fall into the habit of turning in their receipts late. Eric
will check with the billers about having one of them at the September Meals
committee meeting.

NEXT WORK SEASON: Eric will continue as convenor, Tammy and Gail will stay
on as counted members. We will need to find a new minute taker for the
meetings.

NEW MONKEYS
Action: Eric will work with billers, Tom and Tech to see if PayPal can be
streamlined
REMONKEY Tammy will add in Meals norms/kitchen use norms into the Goals and
Values google document
Catherine and Eric will edit the Goals and Values document
RE-MONKEY Catherine will talk to Patti about our discussion and also ask
for some further information.
REMONKEY Eric will talk to Dale about possibly making new grill signs.

OLD MONKEYS
REMONKEY Action: Eric will work with billers, Tom and Tech to see if PayPal
can be streamlined
DONE Eric will email the CH committee about the problem with the CH freezer.
DONE Catherine will add in the Meals section from the Member Handbook to
the draft.
DONE Eric will talk with Meals Billers (Kathy and Becky H.) about coming to
the next meeting to discuss this agenda item and the meals receipts agenda
item.
DONE Gail will grant editing access to Meals Committee members
DONE Eric will discuss possibly rolling unbilled meals into the next
billing cycle with Tom S. and the meals billers.
RE-MONKEY Catherine will talk to Patti about our discussion and also ask
for some further information.
DONE Tammy will check with Patti about the Cuisinart bowl, and will pursue
finding a new one if Patti isn’t already doing it.
Eric will talk to Dale about possibly making new grill signs.
DONE Catherine will send email to cooks and cleaners about grill cleaning/
checking grease trap

Cooler:
Use part of a Skills and Thrills weekend to work on how to create a menu
for a common meal
