Common House: Hot Tub minutes: 2006-08-16
Minutes:
Judith presented another version of the proposed policies. We likethem, but would like to see them classified into groups based on
rationale.
Tim did further research into new tubs, and found a new one costs
about $8k, so that used $3k one is looking more appealing... even if we
do need to spend some money on repairs, it probably won't amount to $5k.
He also took measurements of the area, and started thinking about how
much pea gravel (and or pavers) we would need for the area. Tim will
come up with a price estimate how much this will cost.
He also mentioned that we'll want to do something with the flooring in
the exercise room (to avoid moldy carpet), and we should look into
getting some contact paper to make the windows frosty.
Willie presented prices of materials for building a fence. This will be
modelled after the one he built (which was modelled after his neighbors'
fences).
We've decided to prepare multiple price point packages, but to reduce
finaggling, we'll present a recommended package to the community.
Eric passed on some old contact info to Tim for places to purchase tubs,
and says that he lost the original estimates on building a fence. He's
going to contact infoco asking for time at the next meeting to discuss
an informational piece, and will reserve a room in the CH for our next
meeting on tuesday, September 5th.
Willie &/or Tim will present info as a "check-in" to demonstrate what
we're thinking, and to get feedback from the community to inform our
final work. We want to make sure that people are on-board with this idea
before we move along further.
