2. Monkeys
Bringing chocolate for the two community meetings a month.
Re-MONKEY: Mary and Sarah to share their handouts and powerpoint to the
Process cmtee google folder in drive. (See 3/19/16 Process minutes)(Feb
2016 Training)
ONGOING MONKEY: at each facilitator brunch: could ask facilitators - when
there’s a new proposal, or discussion of any new idea, ask for questions,
then ask for positive reflections about it, before they go into discussion
of concerns.
ONGOING MONKEY: Let’s schedule a few refreshing policy moments:
Parking
Cleaning up after yourself in the CH / Expectations for teen and youth cmty
work, CH access, and supervision
Review of GO proposal and decision-making processes and revisiting decisions
Overview of BOA and how to search for agreements - demo
Minutes must be emailed to their minutes email address for the BOA and to
talk.
RE-MONKEY: Jillian will add to the BOA job description, tracking if
committees are sending in minutes, and if community meeting minutes are in
there too.
COOLER: Jillian will add Vice President (infoco convenor) and Secretary
(process convenor) into the mandate and email out new copy - BUT check
with Debbi first to makes sure it is correct, F&L may change this anyway.
RE-MONKEY: all of us to read through the vision and see what ideas for
skills and thrills are in there.


How did the tri-community brunch go?
It was good, we did decide to keep our quarterly facilitation meetings
still, and, to also try meeting more often with a topic that we all have in
common.

Discussing next steps on Monkeys including committee structure:

Following up on the monkey to convene the ad hoc group to look at how to
assist specific committees, without restarting Steering cmtee. Had
discussions with Debbi. SARAH emailed the original group from the 8/21/18
meeting thanks Sarah.


3.BOA update and Debbi's email to Process re bylaws
where have info on cannot block from afar?
Recommendations that Steering return?
Officers - aren’t infoco and process conveners often the same? Recs?
Conflict Transform vs CRC vs comm pathway

Where do we have information that we can’t block from afar, that they must
be in person? Is it in the master deed?

In the fall there was an idea that a steering cmtee could take up the work
on committee effectiveness. Re-creating a standing steering cmtee was an
idea that got some resistance however. So we are encouraging the ad hoc
cmtee to get together. (see 8/21/17 minutes)

Infoco and process convenors are often the same. So that means the vice
president and secretary are often the same person. Does it matter? The
auditor recommended that they all be F&L. Right now its half process and
half F&L.

Conflict transformation process

We call the conflict transformation process something else, don’t we? It
was the proposal to create the CRC. Four step process for working through
emotional charge, created during a weekend with Laird - more of a
facilitation process but its really important to make sure people remember
it and understand what is happening when facilitators use it.

And then there’s the conflict resolution cmtee creation and the
communication pathway also created during a weekend with Laird.

I think we should mention everything we have, good to keep these kinds of
things prominent.

5.Next work season

Some people do like the Saturday meetings, lets keep doing two a season.

We may have rejigger our jobs a bit for a longer work season. Is this going
to split the budget season. 6 month season. People whose “day” jobs really
ramp up in fall can’t change jobs then.

Has a call gone out yet for committees to figure out their jobs for the
next season? Not that I’ve been yet, but it’s going to come up fast.
