Minutes:

2. Monkeys
Bringing chocolate for the two community meetings a month.
Re-MONKEY: Jillian will remind GOers to fill in Pref in Gather for how
they want to be contacted - view by Album to see Pref (rather than photos).
Re-MONKEY: Mary and Sarah to share their handouts and powerpoint to the
Process cmtee google folder in drive. (See 3/19/16 Process minutes)(Feb
2016 Training)
ONGOING MONKEY: at each facilitator brunch: could ask facilitators - when
there’s a new proposal, or discussion of any new idea, ask for questions,
then ask for positive reflections about it, before they go into discussion
of concerns.
ONGOING MONKEY: Let’s schedule a few refreshing policy moments:
Parking
Cleaning up after yourself in the CH / Expectations for teen and youth cmty
work, CH access, and supervision
Review of GO proposal and decision-making processes and revisiting decisions
Overview of BOA and how to search for agreements - demo
Minutes must be emailed to their minutes email address for the BOA and to
talk.
RE-MONKEY: Jillian will add to the BOA job description, tracking if
committees are sending in minutes, and if community meeting minutes are in
there too.
RE-MONKEY: Jillian will add Vice President (infoco convenor) and Secretary
(process convenor) into the mandate and email out new copy - check with
Debbi first to makes sure it is correct.
Re-MONKEY: Sarah, Patti, Jillian to go through the Active tab of Yi-miau’s
excel spreadsheet and each rate if we think something should stay active,
or S for surpassed, or E for expired. Then we will review at the next
meeting.
DONE: MONKEY: Jillian will discuss with Sarah an intro to consensus
training idea.
DONE: Jillian will email meals and work about 1/15/18 and 3/7/18.
DONE: Jillian will share the notes with Debbi and see what she thinks about
calling a meeting to get interested folks together, ad hoc group to work on
some experiments.
RE-MONKEY: all of us to read through the vision and see what ideas for
skills and thrills are in there.
MONKEY: Jillian will email group of facilitators, with the info of the two
Saturday meetings included.
MONKEY: Jillian will check in with Yi-miau about BOA entry and agenda
MONKEY: Jillian will check in with Willie about BOA/minutes.
MONKEY: Bob will check in with current CRC about continuing on CRC.
MONKEY: Bob will send an email to the ad hoc group (which includes Debbi)
to have an initial get-together.
DONE: Patti will email meals cmtee that the Dec 6 meeting is a budget
meeting.

3. Amy H (facilitator) would like to go over draft agenda for Nov 20.

Spent 40 minutes or so discussing draft agena items and how to approach
each as facil. There were quite a few - probably too many... Amy said it
was helpful to her.

4. Jobs for next work season

CRC: Becky Hoort, Yi-miau, Susan
MONKEY: Bob will check in with CRC about continuing on CRC.

Process members: Bob, Patti, Sarah as our roaming member. :-) None are
interested in convening.

Infoco convenor is really about making sure the tri-community brunches
happen, that its advertised, that minutes are taken.

MONKEY: Jillian will email group of facilitators, with the info of the two
Saturday meetings included.

If we do a month shorter work season, that’s 2 fewer community meetings -
minus 3 spots, for a total of 9 facil slots. Usually we would have 6 people
for 12 meetings. If we have 5 facils that would be 10 spots. So just one
extra.

At the next work season we’ll have to have a bigger conversation about the
whole system if we’re changing over to 6 month seasons. So this time it
will be a little bit improvised and then we’ll adjust more next time.

Could do one alternative meeting in spring as Process cmtee? Sarah talked
about doing an intro to consensus at an alt meeting.

5. Next steps, Mary and Sarah training?

I have not heard more back from Mary and Sarah, but I doubt schedule-wise
that it can happen this year - an Intro to Consensus. Idea that if they
were to do a training early in 2018 we could pay them ahead of time as
contractors, spend the money in 2017.
MONKEY: Jillian will follow up with Sarah and Mary about the idea of a
January training maybe, Jan alt meeting? Or, Saturday in March for 2018
money. Could be longer than 90 minutes.

6. Next steps on committee structure conversation
See process discussion from 10/30 and cmty meeting notes pasted in there
too. Seems like a good next step is to get together the group of folks who
said they’d be interested in being part of the ad hoc group, to look at
experimenting with a committee or two - what changes to the current systems
would help them get their work done. And maybe hear from cmtees who have
already been trying things, how did it go for them. It would be great to
get input from Debbi, and, she is very busy. Bob had raised his hand as
part of the ad-hoc group and would be willing to set up an initial meeting.
MONKEY: BOB will send an email to the ad hoc group (which includes Debbi)
to have an initial get-together.
