Common House Committee Minutes
5/14/2019
Present: gail, elph, marta, thomas. (Elisha was texted and voice mailed at 7pm)

1.List of projects - reports
Replace or repair guest room shower, in process for months now
MONKEY1: Polly for Buildings, following up with our plumber Huenzel on parts for shower
Laundry: very last machine takes forever, in the middle of the cycle. Took 3+ hours instead of 2 hours, water standing… - first is to open front hatch and pull out filter, usually filled with pennies/cardboard/baby socks… cannot drain properly.
MONKEY2: Thomas will clean that filter then we check back again on the length of the cycle. (is hose kinked in the back? Is the pump dying? Most likely the filter basket)
Kitchen floor replacement - waiting for remodel cmtee, no deadlines. Dale suggested contractors, CHC is following the updates.
Kids room has been finished with paint job - now working on mural with Emily
Get Nest Lite thermostat for Game room and Dining room - fits budget, we agreed to proceed.
MONKEY3: Elph will track sales and buy both when $120/piece. Camelcamelcamel and keepa.com for tracking price drops. Aiming to get the same intelligent Nest Lite we use in the West hallway.

2.Maintenance List
West toilet flushes slowly - add to Polly’s list
Kitchen sinks drain slowly - add to Polly’s list as well
MONKEY4: Marta will email Polly with new items
Right hand oven was running on its own - needed to be shut off at circuit breaker but right now is off - needs to be checked out, Elph will do it, during a weekend.
MONKEY5: Elph will check the oven
Holiday lights in dining room need to be taken down and stored after parties - anybody?
Wall hangings should be rehung after parties or work day
MONKEY6: Thomas will do both

3. All Committee members: when walking about in the CH, please open doors to unused game room, media room, kids’ room and laundry room for better air circulation, rather than leaving the doors closed. Good for air flow. ONGOING MONKEY for all.

4. Misc. MONKEY7: Marta will take off teenage room use monitoring sheets from the media room door, game room door, sitting room door. We seem to have less teenage use and teenage issues these days.

5.Youth Engagement Committee report
Have heard nothing about inappropriate use of the ch in the last 30 days, keep building relationships and welcome observations.
