Skills/Thrills planning committee meeting minutes 10/2
Present: Emily, Susan, Sharon, Tevah, Kelly

1. Determine if we need more time to plan the skills/thrills event
currently scheduled for the weekend of 11/3.
*Date is still TBD b/c members need to check calendars. It will either be
the weekend of 11/3, 11/10, or 11/17. Decision will be made via email
communication ASAP.*

2. Determine the fine details of Skills/Thrills event

*The skills/thrills weekend will consist of three relationship-building
mini-events with small groups of teens and adults, and one all-community
meeting to share and discuss plans for continuing to build relationships
with teens.*


*Any Great Oaker can sign up to attend the mini-events.The three
mini-events are: *

*- Friday night open-mic with featured teens - organized by KELLY and EMILY
who will approach Bruno and Jake to help organize*

*- Saturday afternoon basketball game - EMILY will organize, probably teens
vs. adults :-)*

*- Sunday afternoon Zap Zone - TEVAH will organize*


*All Community meeting:*

*- Saturday 10-12 organized/faciliated by SHARON*


3. Likely teen participants:

*Friday night music - open mic - Bruno, Jake, Mario*

*Zap Zone - Logan, August, Ian, Sawyer, Daniel, Liam, Sebastian*

*Basketball - Mario, Logan, Ben*

*Tolkien - ?*

*Zuvuya - ?*

*Luda - ?*


Other comments:

- Will the individual level of outreach be a strategy for the future?
- Food in common house for High Schoolers
