FARM TO TABLE MEAL--INFO & UPDATES
We have a farmer! She requires 5 households to buy shares in the CSA in
order to do delivery of the Farm to Table veggies, and we have reached that
minimum. The meals schedule looks like it is set with head cooks who are
wanting to do the Farm to Table meal. Mary emailed Tevah to thank her and
to let her know we are happy to help if she needs any.

HOBARTING SKILLS AND PREFERRED HOBARTERS
Willie let us know that we used to maintain a list of people who are okay
with running the Hobart during meal cleans. We might need more people to be
on the list.

Mary will send an email with a google form to Talk to ask people who are
comfortable with and prefer running the Hobart to respond so that we can
update the list.

Mary is offering kitchen tutorials to new members and she will let the
community as a whole know when she offers those.

TRAINING ESSENTIAL KITCHEN SKILLS
We really want to have a good training. In addition to the kitchen tutorial
that Mary offers, what else would we like offer?

There is a 2 day Safe Serve certification training which is very good. Elph
says there is going to be a Safe Serve training at Zingerman......™s on June 5th
and 6th.

Or perhaps there is someone in the community who is SafeServe certified?
Elph will email talk to find out if we have any community members who are
Safe Serve certified.

If no response by Friday, then we will email talk to ask whether there is
anyone who would like to attend the training at Zingerman......™s (we would look
into paying for the class from some combo of community budgets). We would
expect the person to give back to the community in some manner. This could
include offering an alternative meeting, training cooks, and/or working
with the Meals committee to decide how to share the information with the
community.

The meals committee is looking to expand the capacity for safety in our
kitchen. We are looking to sponsor someone to take the Servsafe training at
Zingerman......™s, which is a two day commitment. Once trained, you would have an
8 hour work position in the work system, to coordinate with the Meals
committee on how to implement what you have learned and share information
with the community.

Catherine and Yi Miau will draft an email about this if we need to ask for
someone to attend the Servsafe training.

GRILLS
As grilling season begins, you may notice that the grills at the common
house are out from underneath the overhang. This is a requirement of our
insurance company, so they will continue to be stored here for the season.

MEALS PRICE
Tabled for June meeting

SCHEDULING RELATED PROJECTS
The idea of projecting head cook shifts to ease work season transitions. (
http://www.gocoho.org/wiki/index.php/WorkAllocationSchedule)
Meals committee is concerned that it seems we only have one person in the
community who can schedule meals workers. That seems too burdensome for the
Meals Scheduler, and not good practice, either. For next work season, we
would like to create a work position for someone to train with Willie to
learn Meals Scheduling.

MEALS PURCHASES
This season, elph will be the committee's contact person for purchases.
Requests will be directed to him for response.
