We have $130 owing from Great Oak households, $78 owing from Sunward
households, $345 owing from Touchstone. ($80 of the TS amount is owed by
someone who has moved out and we will never see that money)
Do TS households know where to drop off their checks? Is the payment
deadline on the GO invoices?
Mary drafted an email to Tom Smyth requesting the above changes to the
Great Oak meals invoices, along the late fee policy of $3 per month for any
outstanding invoices larger than $25, and details for how to make out the
check.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
We haven......™t had a meal cancelled since January! Perhaps timely menu
reminders by committee members to head cooks are working.
Job description for meeting night orderer--we will update the description
and share the job description.
FARM TO TABLE MEAL--UPDATES
Tema, Tevah and Yi-miau will visit a farm to explore whether we can arrange
a farm to table meal with them.
We have heard back from Sharon and Tammy that they are willing to cook farm
to table meals. There are still some people from we haven......™t heard back--no
one has said no.
JULY/AUGUST ALTERNATIVE MEETING COOKING DEMOS
Because we are changing farms, we don......™t know for sure what day our delivery
will be, so we will hold this idea until we know.
TRAINING ESSENTIAL KITCHEN SKILLS
We really want to have a good training.
Can we offer more support for larger meals? How about encouraging head
cooks to ask for extra help with large meals. Mary King will send an email
with some points for getting extra help.
SCHEDULING RELATED PROJECTS
Our meals system always has some tension and trouble at the very start of a
work season because the head cooks have very little time to post their
menus or plan at the beginning of the work season, as the schedule comes
out so close to the first shift dates of each new season. Would it be
possible for our meals scheduler to project our head cook shifts into
September when scheduling for Spring/Summer meals? And we could also ask
our regular head cooks for their September schedules ahead of time, if this
can be done. Yi-Miau will email Willie about this idea.
TIMELY MENU POSTING
Timely menu is posted 10 days prior to the meal. Beginning in May, each
Meals Committee member will take a particular day of the week, and remind
head cooks with upcoming meals on that day of the week about posting menus

Yi-miau--May onward, Monday head cooks
Catherine--Tuesday head cooks
Elph--May onward, Wednesday head cooks

the contact person again for the Farm to Table program.

enough households signing up for CSAs for Great Oak to run the Farm to
Table meal again.

NEXT AGENDA
Meeting Night Meals
We will revisit the idea of meeting night meals, since they are so lightly
attended, and seek input from our regular meeting meal attendees.
We will update the job description and share the job description at the
start of the new work season with people who have the job.
