MONKEY: Rod will add new facilitators to Infoco -
Alicia, Robert, Megan, any others? Should make
sure Elph, Mary King, Amy H are still subscribed

MONKEY: Jillian will let Gail know that the
facil/minute taker schedule looks good, that she
should please go ahead and let people know.

MONKEY: Jillian will contact Lisa about the
agenda planner role for alt meetings.

COOLER for Alt Meeting topic: Discussion about
HOW we talk about things. It sounds like this
fall we already have topics though, but we should
keep it in the cooler.

COOLER for Alt Meeting topic: revisit our vision statement

MONKEY: Patti will see if Tom Akiva might be
willing to put a copy of his booklets on group
activities in the CH sitting room library.

MONKEY: For Sept 5 meeting, Rod will contact CH
committee and see if they're interested, and then
will potentially contact Grounds.

COOLER for Alt Meeting Topic: The teacher, Grace
Bogs, that Rod and Melisa had for strategic
planning said she would do a 2-hour workshop for
free, might want to contact her for a spring alt
meeting.

MONKEY: Jillian will contact Diana and ask if she
could give a bit more details - of how she will
proceed - if she were going to pitch each one to
the community, what would she say?

1. Schedule for facil and minute takers

Gail emailed out a proposed schedule, seems good.
Like the idea to have Patti/Alicia signed up to
facil the 11/7/07 meeting to prep us for the
training on 11/10/07.

2. Agenda prep role for alternative meetings

The alternative meetings are probably mostly
going to be one-item meetings, so I don't think
we need agenda item "collection".

However I think the agenda planner should still
contact the person in charge of the alternative
meeting at least a week ahead of time, to remind
them of the upcoming date and make sure the
person planning the alt meeting emails out info
ahead of time of what they plan to do, that they
may want to even hang signs on doors etc. And
also to remind them to email infoco and process
committees, or just talk to people on those
committees, if they need help with their meeting.

Also please remind the person to leave a little
time at the end of their meeting, so the person
doing the next alt meeting can make a pitch for
the next alt meeting.

Actually so the agenda planner should contact the
organizers for the next TWO alt meetings - one to
remind them that the meeting they are organizing
is coming up in a week, the other to remind them
that at this coming alt meeting, they may want to
make a 5 minute (or less) pitch for their alt
meeting coming up in a month.

3. 9/5/07 alt community meeting

Rod/Robert are thinking 10/5 will be budget.

For 9/5, Rod is thinking of a topic about the
common house - split up into groups and make it a
more experiential thing, each group will go to a
location in the CH, think about how its working,
what could be improved etc. Then come back
together and maybe come up with written vision(s)
for the CH.

I could see that, and it could be other areas
too, such as a Grounds thing, groups walk around
campus, sit in various areas, talk about the
ideas for this area or that area.

COOLER for Alt Meeting topic: We could all talk
about HOW we talk about things. It sounds like
this fall we already have topics though, but we
should keep it in the cooler.

Anything else for Sept 5? Maybe a facil and note
taker for each small group. Email infoco/process
once you have a feel for how many you need.


4. Potential topics for 11/10/07

(Diana Kardia's email is below the minutes as an addendum.)

I like any of these three.

I received another suggestion from someone that
the topic could be about gossip.

I think gossip is covered under the third idea.
(And also could come up in the first idea.) And
am not sure this is the right moment to work on
that topic head on.

Also another issue is the inclusion/exclusion
thing, might be good to talk about, is always
happening at least for me, when I'm at a
gathering of more than a few people, esp outside,
who is invited and who is not is always an issue
or at least crossed my mind.

Present this to the community and get feedback
about which people are most interested. Two sets
of dot storms? First round everyone gets two
dots, narrow it down to two, second round
everyone gets one?

The first one is like a continuation of last
year's training. The second moves more into the
visioning. The third could get at some tough
issues!

Should we find out more about what she would
actually do for each one? Then for each idea
there could be a short presentation? And then
give people the dots?

5. Next Infoco meeting

2nd Tues and 4th Sunday, 7-8pm, so the next one is Tuesday 9/11.
