MONKEYS

ONGOING MONKEY:
Bringing chocolate for meetings:
Sept: Elisha
Oct: Becky H
Nov: Jillian
Dec: Gail

Re-MONKEY: Jillian will email Rowena about nature club - letting it rest
for now. Not sure its the right moment, with several of the interested
households with young kids having moved out. If energy comes up within GO
to get it moving we'll be happy to assist.

Should we keep trying to advertise the community library? We asked for
suggestions, we got one for nonviolent communication, which we already have
resources for. When I look for resources on things like, hoop houses, a lot
of it is online rather than in print. And we do get communities magazine.
We do have good books up there, how to creatively remind people of what we
have.
MONKEY: Gail will keep in mind, that we could do a 10 minute show and tell
at a meeting, pass around books.

COOLER: We could bring up at a community meeting, the idea of if we should
talk about how we each want to be contacted on community business, and see
what people think about it. So many options now for how to be contacted,
and some people seem to only use certain modes, would be good to know.
Maybe add it to contact sheet?

MONKEY: Jillian will put out an email about the member resources being
available.

MONKEY: Meeting supplies - Jillian will let budget know that we won't spend
$150 this year.

MONKEY: Jillian will email in budget numbers for next year and info on this
year.

MONKEY: Jillian will contact the scholars collaborating on a survey with
FIC, with the info they want and also ask about the timeline, and if
there's a way for us to know how many GOers have responded.

MONKEY: Becky H will check in with Megan about contacting tree town murals
about Nov 8. Can ask her about her red cross friend at the Y too.

MONKEY: Gail will look at red cross web site.

MONKEY: Elisha to find out more from her red cross contact about the costs
and options for CPR/Defib/first aid training on-site on Nov 8 or 9.

MONKEY: Jillian will find out about reserve fund and how to check the
schedule for full-pavement-resealing, and will ask Grounds about it too.

BUDGET

Member resources - should we put out a reminder that the $200 is available
for classes and or books.
MONKEY: Jillian will put out an email about the member resources being
available.

Skills and Thrills we should leave the money in there since the Nov event
is still being developed, and it's the right amount for an event where we
need to pay presenters as well as childcare, food, supplies.

MONKEY: Meeting supplies - Jillian will let budget know that we won't spend
$150 this year.

Next year - shall we drop to $200 from $250.

MONKEY: Jillian will email in budget numbers:
Of the Process 2014 budget's remaining funds:
Archives: $39.41 remaining, we may spend that.
Meeting supplies, $212.38 remaining, we may spend up to $50 of that
Member resources: $200 remaining, we are going to put out a reminder call
about that money now.
Training: $1700 remaining, we may spent it all and/or ask to "save" it
toward a June event.

Process 2015 budget request:
Archives: $50
Meeting Supplies: $200
Member Resources: $200
Training: $1700

SURVEY

Jillian got an email from the FIC about this group of scholars doing a
scientific survey about quality of life in intentional communities. Needs a
contact person from Great Oak to get the survey link and then distribute to
the community.
MONKEY: Jillian will contact the scholars collaborating on a survey with
FIC, with the info they want and also ask about the timeline, and if
there's a way for us to know how many have responded.

Skills and Thrills

Art meeting - was a good meeting. And once we know how much we'll spend in
2014 we might be able to ask to hold some over for the 2015 painting, and
not have to commit all of 2015's money to this.

Idea to look at schedule for reserve study for major repaving, most of it
would be crack repair. We'd need to be aware of not putting a painting over
a crack, or, plan it in to design!

CPR/defibrillator and first aid - hopefully Megan will contact her friend,
maybe Elisha can ask her contact too, about Nov 9 ideally but could look at
other times if need be. Maybe it CPR is expensive and needs a commitment
ahead of time we could just do defib and first aid.

MONKEY: Becky H will check in with Megan about contacting tree town murals
about Nov 8. Can ask her about her red cross friend at the Y too.

MONKEY: Gail will look at red cross web site.

MONKEY: Elisha to find out more from her contact about the costs and
options for CPR/Defib/first aid training on-site on Nov 8 or 9.

MONKEY: Jillian will find out about reserve fund and how to check the
schedule for full-pavement-resealing, and will ask Grounds about it too.
