MONKEYS

MONKEY: idea - how about if we trade off, each taking a month in rotation,
and some time during our month we post a paragraph on "talk" about one book
of our choice in the community resource collection? We could take the
description from amazon or the jacket/cover if we haven't read it, that's
fine.
June: Becky
July: Hope
August: Gail

Re-MONKEY: Jillian will send Hope the minute taking guidelines

MONKEY: Bring chocolate for the summer meetings (get reimbursed from
PRocess meeting supplies) month by month:
Gail: June (she gave to Jillian already)
Becky: July
Hope: August

MONKEY: Later in summer check in with F&L about signing up to lead a fall
alt meeting, some kind of finance educational piece - Process got positive
feedback that people liked the practical finance focus at last year's
skills and thrills.

MONKEY: Steering asked us to encourage cmtees to do refreshing policy
moments? So we're talking about the 3rd Monday in June or July or August:
- MONKEY: Jillian will go look for, and present, the everyone to pick up
toys in the pedestrian way.
- MONKEY: Becky will ask CH cmtee if its a good idea to do a refresher on
kids and common house - at what age they're allowed to do what, and what
we're to do when we come across kids we don't know in the common house.
- MONKEY: Hope will ask grounds, how about the basketball rules, maybe just
go over the hours and who can play?

What about Kito's question about a pool discussion? Apparently he sent a
message to talk asking for community meeting time. A 15 minute agenda item
to air the issue, since it got so much response on "talk", and then see if
its worth pursuing a next step?
MONKEY: Jillian will ask Kito if he got a response yet about agenda time.

Next meeting agenda, nothing we know of that we need to talk about now.

Next work survey

As of now seems like our usual fall work positions would be fine. We can
work on preassignments as it gets closer. Question, should we continue the
facilitator in training position?
Seems to me like we should keep it, it only just started, see how it goes.
Could cut it as it gets closer if necessary.

Skills and Thrills weekend ideas

We were letting that rest a bit til it got closer time-wise, but in the
meantime some other suggestions came in to capture.
>From Tammy:
This past week was my community staff meeting at work, and we brought
in an improv instructor to do a "playshop" with us. It was a really
great experience. She researched our organizational vision and mission
and ran us through fun improv activities that tied back to those. I
think we all came away feeling like we learned some insights and
skills we could apply to our facilitation and communication work. I
think something like this might be a great activity for a skills and
thrills weekend. If this sounds like something you'd like to explore, I'd
be happy to
make the connection to the instructor (Cecille Lindgren). Thanks! Tammy

Improv is an interesting idea, some would love it, some hate it. It could
be structured so that those who love it, get to do it, and others observe,
maybe?

I feel like Mary had a suggestion too, for an evening fun event, will have
to check in with her since I can't remember!

Next meeting:
should be first Mondays this summer, so that'd be July 1, 6:45.
