2. Monkey Review

MONKEY: idea - how about if we trade off, each taking a month in rotation,
and some time during our month we post a paragraph on "talk" about one book
of our choice in the community collection? We could take the description
from amazon or the jacket/cover if we haven't read it, that's fine.
March: Syndallas
April: Gail

MONKEY: Jillian will post the job description for facilitator in training
to wiki.

MONKEY: Jillian will email "talk" about canceling next week's community
meeting due to lack of agenda items.

MONKEY: Gail will contact F&L about the April meeting - to see if they will
have an agenda item and also ask about the $50 gift card.

MONKEY: At the April meeting Process (and Work?) to give the nutshell about
what Work wants to cover, and see if there are more ideas, talk about it
then, and see where the energy is - if its clear people have energy to talk
about work guidelines in November we can decide to go with it, or if there
are other ideas people are excited about we may need to bring it back for
another discussion and decision.

3. Next week's regular community meeting

This would be the second month in a row we don't have any regular meeting
agenda items. Is this a problem or is it fine, and items are just still
being worked on in committee? A good sign or a sign we're not working on
stuff we should be working on?

Can the Process steering rep bring this up at the next steering meeting?

But steering just decided not to meet unless there's an issue. Several of
us didn't realize this. Is that something Steering can decide on its own or
is that a community meeting decision? What does the Steering mandate say?
Don't know, need to look it up.

Support work cmtee by highlighting the changes of each work season, talking
about the increases and decreases in hours requested from each committee?
Work cmtee is going to do that already.

We could say to the community, Process cmtee has noted of course that we
have not had community meeting agenda items for two months in a row, and
this is usually a fairly productive, busy time for agenda items. We just
wanted to point this out and see what reaction we get.

Gail puts out several calls for agenda items - the first to "talk", the
second to committees, and the third to "talk" again. The stack is always
there in the email, of items that committees have said in the past that
they want to bring forward soon. And Gail already asked if maybe some
committee has something they want to talk about that's not a proposal, a
forum or discussion.

I'm on CH and we're just doing our thing, seems to be going along fine, and
I still follow grounds, and that seems to be just doing its thing also.

It'd be important to have a meeting in April if we don't in Feb and March.

Perhaps email F&L and ask if they can have an item in April? They've said
they have some things to bring forward. And how about the $50 gift card
idea that was approved?
MONKEY: Gail will contact F&L about the April meeting - to see if they will
have an agenda item and also ask about the $50 gift card.

Maybe Process can have an agenda item too, more details about Skills and
thrills.

4. Process jobs next work season

We checked in with various people (facilitators, CRC). Jillian assigned the
regular jobs, minute taking is fully open, as is one Process cmtee member
slot. (We'll miss you Syndallas! Come back soon!)

5. Skills n Thrills

Jillian did check in with Laird and Rowena and we've pencilled in that
Laird will come to lead a day of facilitation for each community, the usual
weekend in November 9 and 10, 2013. When should we start bringing Skills
and Thrills-related discussion to the community? And making people aware it
will be a decision-making day. And we need the community to agree to the
topic to be discussed. The current idea is Work wanting more guidelines
from the community.

MONKEY: At the April meeting Process (and Work?) to give the nutshell about
what Work wants to cover, and see if there are more ideas, talk about it
then, and see where the energy is - if its clear people have energy to talk
about work guidelines we can decide to go with it, or if there are other
ideas people are excited about we may need to bring it back for another
discussion and decision.

6. Next process meeting, 2nd Tuesday, 4/9/2013, 6:45pm.
