MONKEYS
MONKEY: Jillian will do the preassignments for facilitators and other
preassignments
MONKEY: Jillian will check in with Heather about Book of Agreements.
MONKEY: Jillian will ask Elph to order easel.
MONKEY: Jillian will get with Becky G about the easel sleeve - should
be a heavy sturdy fabric. Quilting comes to mind! But CH can choose.
We should buy it in 2012.

Hosting FIC for their meeting, debrief

Seemed to go very well. FIC folks were at dinner several nights and
sat with different people, that went well. FIC helped with dinner
clean and were nice to work with. The Meet and Greet in the sitting
room seemed to go very well, GOers came and asked them questions.

I liked talking with them over dinner, learning about the different
issues for different size communities - some were from very small
communities!

Greg cooked dinner that Friday night, with help from Mary and Jillian,
that was great too.

Would be great to have FICers here more! Its so useful to talk to
people who live at other communities, including types of communities
that are vey different from ours! Income-sharing, big, small.

This year we did not take advantage of NASCO courses but in future years
maybe.

So Laird will be in touch about consulting in 2013? Yes. And Mary King
had the idea that maybe GO could donate their Laird day to TS. That
would need to be a community decision. Should Mary find out casually
from TS if they'd be interested, first? It is an opportunity to grow
ourselves though. We've talked about needing a new round of consensus
training. Just something to think about.



Skills and Thrills 2012 Debrief

Helen asked about notes from Caleb's presentation, Gayle is getting
Caleb's notes to distribute. (Jillian sent out 11/15/2012.)
Had several emails from people about the weekend, people liked it.
I thought the Saturday stuff was great, and Caleb's talk really
rounded things out for me, I really liked it. A wide array of
presentations on financial life - community finance, personal finance,
and then Caleb's talk about his personal choices and the amazing work
he's doing.
The swingset conversation was great. the kids came up with almost all
the ideas of what was needed.
The meals all seemed to work out really well.
I was feeling tired on Sunday, because we had two workshops and Diwali
on Saturday night - was it too much? Saturday was a full day. I really
like having a social event on Saturday though. Maybe one less thing on
Saturday afternoon?
Skills and Thrills as a 2-part thing, Skills and Thrills workshop
weekend, and then the party is the following weekend? Tie in to Nasco
somehow?
I liked having the 3 talks so close together.


Next work season
Work survey starts tomorrow.
Jillian lined up facilitators and has some emails out about CRC.
What about alternative meetings? Willie, maybe Becky H. Did we want to
reserve one for Process? What would we talk about? Consensus process
and stand asides? Refresher on that? Maybe we could come up with a
mock issue, nice to think about in an uncharged situation. We're all
feeling a little low energy at the moment though, right after skills
and thrills!

Easel
CH cmtee is happy to try the new kind of easel, and Becky G is happy
to make a sleeve for us, yay!
We'll try it and see how it goes. Might need a small easel too. Can
try a variety of things.

Next meeting
