Grounds
• Becky preassigned to continue working on neglected area around north plaza
• Budget - looking for money for costly projects (playground chips, lights)
$1200 estimate was a lot more than we need for the chips acc to people doing the work. The playground chips ended up costing $572. Some of the extra funds could get redirected to light project. [UPDATE: After Steering mtg, Grounds determined that there's a better way to handle some of the additional lighting needs]
• Lighting project -- Steps being taken to diffuse the light better. Working with TS on the lighting around the workshops steps.
• Trying to get in touch with person at Swim Club regarding tree on property line.

Finance and Legal
• Not many preassignments. Becky Grover taking bookkeeper job.
• Households in arrears - one household nearing point of a lien. Will be talking to them.
• Discussed CH cmte desire to sell stuff. F&L says cmtes should do whatever they think appropriate with their stuff. Remember that donations are taxed.
• Coming to cmty with revision of rebate agreement. Want to roll into next budget.

Buildings
• No meeting this month
• Working with Patti on plumbing issues

Process
• Lots of energy was devoted to Skills and Thrills
• Some feedback that there was too much that weekend. Examining if we need to scale it back a little.
• Next year, Laird will do something Skilling and Thrilling in exchange for hosting FIC this year

Meals
• Meals met and discussed revised mandate and Cooks email list.

Common House
• New couch, replacement tables coming
• Discussion of how to fund overrun on new tables (which were underbudgeted in reserve fund)
• Moving to new online reservation system sometime in future
• Washer/dryers moving to all "free and clear" in February. Use up your scented stuff soon! Need to be
sure TS knows! (Gayle, as TS ambassador, will follow up on that)
• Turnover on committee this coming work season

Work
• Work allocation done; prelim info went to cmtes. Will be distributed to the masses soon.
• Surprising number of people didn't fill out the survey in a timely fashion

Membership
• Tshirt order held up because of minor snafu. Catherine will call tomorrow.
• Cards for Craig and the boys and Fatima and the boys will be available soon
• The orientation of new members process is on the stack to be reviewed at a community business meeting.
