2. Mary King came to the first part of the meeting to talk about the
budget schedule. Mary met with Adi, they are on the agendas for
Grounds, CH, and F&L committee meetings before the first budget
meeting on 9/19. Adi is going to get in touch with Buildings cmtee
and see if they can have a meeting, and don't need to meet with
Process since Process emailed budget info already and their budget is
not changing.

Adi and Mary co-presenting on the 19th. First, Mary to outline a
simple timeline, she will email it out and post it on large paper
during the meeting. Then we move to Game Room, and Adi will present
there, an interactive spreadsheet. Then he'll go over the main changes
that we know of to date in the committee budgets. Except the taxes,
which Mary will present. Mary will check in with Kathy B about this so
that she can help with taxes questions. Mary would rather Adi not have
to field tax questions while he's presenter. Adi and Mary will present
a worse-case scenario on the taxes. Then suss out if there are any big
questions or concerns for any of the committee line items, that the
community would like the committees to work on before the next meeting
on Oct 3. And questions for the tax preparer.

The on Oct 3 the whole meeting will be budget. Mary and Adi will
present any new info on the committees, and any updates on the taxes,
and a reminder about what we agreed on aka the reserve fund increases.
Then the facilitators would go through things line by line and ask for
questions and concerns, and star items that are ok, and work on the
questions and concerns. Talk about questions, identify concerns, and
discuss the concerns in depth as much as we have time for.

Oct 15 coming back with any new info, reminding what we've already
discussed and starred that had no questions or concerns, and working
to resolve ones that still do have questions and concerns. See if we
can achieve consensus.

Nov 7 - bring it back for consensus if we don't get it on Oct 15.
Again remind all the items we've already ok'd and keep working on the
ones with concerns.

How can we help the minute takers take minutes that will make sense
later? That is especially hard to do with budget meetings. Ask F&L to
proof minutes of budget meetings? And be thinking about, will this
make sense 2 years from now?

Can we provide some kind of grid, text version of the budget numbers,
that can be pasted into the minutes so that in future years the
minutes will make sense? It won't be as pretty as a PDF but should be
doable. Email the budget in text form to the minute taker to paste
into the end of the minutes.

Just pointing out that there will be a new facilitator crew for most
of the budget meetings - will the facilitators commit to this process.
I think it will be fine, and, it would probably be good for each set
of facilitators to meet briefly with budget presenters before each
meeting. Alicia and Patti will be for 10/3 and Sarah and Tammy for
10/15.

3. Tabled the Infoco meeting schedule agenda item since its just Elph
and I. We will be out of the country for October but as of now the
next Infoco meeting woudl be the first Tues in October, 10/2.

4. FIC hosting
Laird just emailed this week and said FIC may move their meetings
later by 1 day. This would mean that the Sunday 10/28 meal would not
need to be an FIC meal, after all that. Ah well! I'll owe Adi and
Syndallas something for having volunteered to head cook an indian meal
that night.

5. Skills and Thrills
At F&Ls request Jillian emailed out a save the date reminder for the
Nov 10-11 event. Once we have more info from F&L about the time slots
the workshops will be, we can work on other logistics, together with
Process (food, childcare, supplies, etc)
