1. Pot rack
We’ve had renewed calls for a pot rack, in response to my (Rod’s) appeal to people to stop putting pots on the floor.
Some of the pots are too big to hang maybe? Suggestion: Let’s add a bottom “shelf” to put things on. √
Debbi’s vision is to get the pots out of the pantry and use the pantry for food. What will we do with the pots?
What about putting a pot rack in the pantry?

The root of the problem is lack of storage on the CH.
What about adding space where the table (by the computer) is?
Towels and stuff in the pantry? To clear up storage in the kitchen for other things?

Some of this might be connected with the kitchen redesign, but that’s far in the future and we have storage issues now.
Let’s coordinate with CH. But let’s have our ideas together first.

Other space Debbi’s coveting: the little triangle dead-end by the coats. Can we put shelves in there?
Can we get the shelf under the stove fixed (for CH)—workday job? √

MONKEY: Debbi will try to write up a statement of the problem. Gail will look in the Ikea catalogue for ideas about replacing the table.

2. Mandate
Rod presented a draft of the mandate, to good response. Will present it at Aug. 20 community meeting. Also looked at the original Meals proposal, which is laughable from the perspective of 2012. A good example of being way too specific—so much on that has changed, all without amending the proposal.

Also looked at a graph of meal attendance since 2004—it’s been holding pretty steady since a minor decline a few years back.

3. Rewritten job descriptions
Gail has rewritten the descriptions for Meeting Night Meal Orderer and Meeting Meal Cleaner to try to clarify some expectations. She has our blessing to make the changes. Thanks to Gail for doing this.
