3. Winter infoco work schedule
4. Winter infoco meeting schedule
5. Prep for Jan 16 community meeting
Minutes:
2. MONKEYS:MONKEY: Jillian will find the list we had brainstormed of areas to flesh
out guidelines or teaching moments for, to add to Infoco agenda. Add each
facilitation recipe as we complete it, to the Process section of the wiki.
MONKEY: Jillian will update the infoco mandate draft, take out all the
extraneous formatting, make some changes and bring it back. Jillian will
make sure to email draft to Gail.
WORKIN: In March Susan and Jillian/Process will lead an alternative meeting
about conflict and how to productively work through it.
MONKEY: Infoco to craft an agenda item where the community talks about
stand asides in some educational and productive way.
MONKEY: Mary will go to a membership meeting and talk with them about the
consensus powerpoint. It covers just the most basic consensus ideas. See if
they feel ok about using it during their orientations. (Elph posted it
here: http://goo.gl/ekvz9)
MONKEY: Please put the Infoco meeting dates in your calendar: February 9,
March 8, and April 5th
MONKEY: Mary will find a community-related speech or piece of MLK's to
share during the Jan 16th community meeting.
MONKEY: We divided up names of folks who have moved to Great Oak in the
last year or two. We will contact the folks we're assigned to, and ask
them: to please come to the Jan 16th meeting, and let them know we plan to
have a section of the meeting as a Q&A and info share for newer residents.
Also ask if they have something in particular that they've been wanting to
learn about. Also if they feel like they know about the electronic
resources at GO and how to use them. Once we have feedback from new folks,
Mary will help craft this agenda item. Perhaps Sarah would be interested in
helping?
MONKEY: Jillian will ask Willie if he can be at the Jan 16 mtg to do a
gocoho.org/my overview, in case that is wanted. Coming up with scenarios
like he did before was very helpful - eg, if you want to know if you can
donate something to the common house, how do you find the policy on that.
MONKEY: Jillian will email out draft agenda once Megan gets back to Elph
about if she wants to have an emergency preparedness item or not.

4. WINTER INFOCO COMMITTEE MEETING SCHEDULE
We did an online poll, things got a bit confusing, and there are many of us
not here, so, please put these three dates in your calendar for this
season, and we'll do a new poll for the spring/summer work season:
Feb 9, March 8, and April 5th
5. JANUARY 16TH COMMUNITY MEETING PREP
Megan had asked for 20 minutes of community meeting time in December, for
emergency preparedness, Gail asked her if January would be ok and she said
yes. Gail has not heard back yet if she still plans to do so.
Elph called and left Megan a message.
Gail asked Catherine about the membership revised mandate. We called and
checked in with Catherine, she said sure put it on the Jan 16 agenda for
decision. Last came to the community in the fall some time, with only minor
changes needed.
Talked about doing some refreshing policy moments.
Another wrinkle - it is MLK day - could do something related to MLK day. I
really like that idea. Mary excited to find something of his to read,
something community-related.
MONKEY: Mary will find a community-related speech of MLK's to share during
the Jan 16th community meeting.
Idea to have a time for new members, if we have an hour's worth of
community business, then do a half hour of question and answer for new
members, and/or another gocoho.org/my/ demo, that kind of thing.
That seems like a good idea - we have many new folks this last year or two,
some of whom seem very up to speed and others not quite as much, but all
may have questions. Invite them individually. And, ask them what do you
most want to learn about, what would be most helpful? Mention the
gocoho.org/my/. And there will be Q&A so if you think of something later
that's fine.
Once we have feedback from new folks, Mary will help craft this agenda
item. Perhaps Sarah would be interested in helping?
MONKEY: Jillian will ask Willie if he can be there to do a
gocoho.org/myoverview, in case that is wanted. Coming up with
scenarios like he did
before was very helpful - eg, if you want to know if you can donate
something to the common house, how do you find the policy on that.
MONKEY: Jillian will email out draft agenda once Megan gets back to Elph
about if she wants to have an emergency preparedness item or not.
NEXT MEETING: Feb 9, 6:15pm.
