CH Committee meeting

Noted that Adi has installed a new thermostat in the game room. Thanks!

Discussed whether the aquarium should be moved from the dining room back
into the sitting room. Yes, because it does dress up the sitting room, and
probably it is best to leave the space in the dining room so that it can be
cleared for parties. Becky will contact Eric.

CH shopper is being asked to buy waste baskets for the sitting and media
rooms; and a good-looking pen holder and paper holder for the table in the
entryway.

BUDGET
- After discussion about improvements in the media room, we decided to
plan on buying a smaller couch than is now there - like the one recently
bought for the kids' room - and accepting Heather's offer to loan a chair,
like the one already on loan in the sitting room. This reduces the request
for this line item from $800 to $400.
- The $300 amount requested to install an energy monitor can be moved
into this year's maintenance budget, since its effect is to allow us to
improve how we manage our utilities. Adi has agreed to monitor this device.
- We have not yet had any requests to rent the office recently used by
Touchstone. Becky will send out another note inviting applications from
Great Oak members, and then from Sunward or Touchstone. Several different
parties could share use of this office. On rent from parties outside of GO
itself, we would owe taxes.

The revised request for CH improvements in 2012 is:
$350 - sound proofing the game room;
$400 - furniture of the media room;
$150 - window blind for the exterior door at the west end;
$300 - miscellaneous.

$1200 - TOTAL.
The previous request had been for $2500. This year's budget
for this line had been $1700.

JOBS for next work season: Adi will be pre-assigned as maintenance
co-ordinator. The maintenance helped will be determined during the work
party.
