4. Wednesday's community meeting
Becky: presenting as CH convenor
Tammy: facilitating

Was going to have 3 components but Becky decided to do 2 instead.

(1) moving reservation book online. Want input on what it should look like.
CH is going to do this, will explain why, what the benefits are. Want to
include the truck and the guest room.
a. What kind of functionality would people like to see in it.
b. What concerns do you have, what issues do you see.
List these two questions.

(2) Sharing CH with touchstone

Great Oak has not had a chance yet to talk as a community about how it's
going.

CH wants people to share only from their OWN personal experience, not share
what they've heard other people saying.
Talking circle? Yes. Each person has 30 seconds, no one can comment, no one
can interrupt.

Want to scribe the concerns. Then after the two go-rounds, people break into
groups, what can we do to make things better.

Need to allow time both for what the good aspects are, and, for what
difficulties people are having with it. So, two go-rounds:
(a) What do you like, and then, (b) what are your concerns?

And then the idea is break into small groups and see if there is any
"low hanging fruit" - solutions to come of the challenges.

Good to do both go-rounds - important to allow people to express what is
going well, what they do like about it, and not just those with concerns.
And, unless people feel heard, they won't move on to solution-seeking.

When we break into small groups, how do we break up - by topic? Random?

What is the product wanted?

Some improvements CH can implement.

If its easy to chunk out, create groups focused on chunks. If its a mess
just give each group the whole thing and see what they can come up with.
Give clear written instructions to small groups, about what they are to do,
that they need a scribe and will present their suggestions at the end, etc.

How much time for each section? Item 1, give 15 minutes. If the first item
is a can of worms, say ok we'll bring it back. 75 minutes left, to cover the
two go-rounds, then small groups, then report back. Should be ok.

Becky notes that there is an issue, of Meals cmtee is considering dropping
meals, but it is not ready for tomorrow. Someone may ask about it. Once CH
and Meals have a full understanding of the problem, then bring the problem
to the community to see if there are creative solutions.

5. Next work season

Meeting ended a bit too fast, Jillian forgot to ask who is willing to
continue as facilitators, so sent out an email.

6. Next infoco meeting
First Tues will be 4/5/11, 6:15pm.
