Minutes:

*Present:* Kathy Boblitt, Lyn Solmes (TS), Nancy Harter, Gail Graham, Pam
Reister, Debbi Schaubman, Mary King

*Kitchen Soap:*

In response to several requests, fragrance-free Dr. Bronners is available
and will be used.

*Meals Account:*

There is about $1600 in the account. Debbie has receipts for several hundred
dollars of dish purchases. Kathy B and Carl will track expenditures in Quick
Books. The goal is a monthly report that includes the revenues and
expenditures for the account, that will help us plan for future expenses.

*Dessert Chef:*

We will email GO and encourage people to showcase their cooking skills for
dessert on Sundays. This will be strictly voluntary, but we're hoping to
create a fun, and (much appreciated!) opportunity.

*Kitchen Tutorial:*

Mary, with help from Debbi, Sarah, Becky & Mac, oriented TS (and some
GO'ers) on the equipment and protocols for the CH kitchen recently. Items
included: Hobart, food processor, immersion blender, rice cooker, pantry
contents, kitchen laundry, what to wash, etc.

Mary asked that each TS cook or clean shift include at least one trained
person on the crew.

Mary plans to schedule another training, in coordination with Lyn, to
assure there are enough trained TS'ers to cover all of their shifts. The
goal is prevention of serious mistakes in the CH kitchen.

GO is invited to Sunday TS brunches! Remind your neighbors. They are posted
on the on-line meals sign-up system.

*Monkey:* Ask Work committee to post contact info for each semester's meals
convener, CH cleaning coordinator, CH maintenance coordinator on
refrigerator in case assistance is required. *Mary* will cut and paste this
request and email to Work.

*Monkey:* *Pam* will make a sign reminding people that no sharp implements
go in soaking tubs.

*Brooms in the Pantry:*

Responding to a request from several GO members, Meals agreed it was a great
idea to re-locate the brooms from the pantry. Debbi will remove them at the
5/1/10 work day, put them in the laundry room and create a sign directing
people to the new storage spot.

(side conversation about shelves in laundry room for TS laundry supplies: We
suggest that the lost and found basket be removed and pull out shelves or a
cart be situated in that spot under the folding counter.)

*Monkey to all cleaners:*

Remind your cleaning associates that glasses need to be completely cooled
before being stacked to avoid breakage and sticking together.

*Monkey to all cooks:*

If you make dinners that include lettuce, tomatoes, or green peppers be
aware of leftovers and please reduce the amount you buy the next time you
cook. (There has been an abundance of leftovers of these particular items
per an email received from a regular cleaner - especially these meals: make
your own burritos, tacos, salads).

*Monkey to all:*

At the beginning of each meal add \"thanks to everyone who clears(buses)
their table!!\" to the kids litany of thanks and clapping. Meals committee
members have agreed to do this at meals until it becomes part of the
"thanks! culture at GO.
