Financial report-$2,015.00
The icemaker was installed by Frank Starwas. Cost for parts and labor
was $132.00.
The small rice cooker was returned and refunded in full--$46.00.
Kathy Boblitt and Common House Chair agreed to change the shopper posi
tion from Common House Committee to the Meals Committee. Also to be
added to the shopper job description; to be responsible for buying
supplies for Work Days.
Sunward requested that GO eat all Wednesday dinners at Sunward and
Sunward would dine at GO one day each week (day not specified).
Meals members and many others who were questioned did not think this a
feasible plan. Sunward was informed of GO\'s decision.
Pam will buy a grill cover for the new grill.
Debbie, the shopper, was asked to look for tall narrow large cooking
pots to allow numerous pots to fit on the cook top at one time. She
was
also to look for a cutting board and wooden spoon to be used only on
gluten free ingredients.
Mary King will form an ad hoc committee to provide a list of good
gluten free products and where they may be purchased. She is also
willing to teach a lesson on gluten free cooking.
Head cooks who responded to the request for ideas and/or complaints:
Several complained about asst. cooks being tardy or absent.
It was suggested that an asst. cook could help with shopping to cut
the hours for head cooks.
There should be an emphasis on the importance of head cooks posting
their menus a week in advance.
It was suggested that head cooks brain storm at the beginning of a
work season to exchange ideas and short cuts.
To relieve stress on new head cooks, it was suggested that new
cooks first serve a work season as asst. cooks.
Meals Committee would like to eliminate all Thursday meals. Only 2
per month are served now. Sunward no longer serves meals on alternate
Thursdays. This would allow TS to have every Thursday for their
dinners. And it would somewhat relieve the stress on
scheduling head cooks for GO.

Meals Committee desires to have meals cleaners to join the committee.
Meal cleaners are most important to the smooth functioning of the
meals program.
